eHealth in Central LHIN

Central and Toronto Central Joint eHealth Strategy - posted September 4, 2009

Central LHIN is committed to using health information technology (also known as eHealth technology) to build a safer, more accessible and high performing local health care system.  

In addition to collaboration among the LHINs covering the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), our LHIN has worked with the Toronto Central LHIN to develop a joint eHealth strategy to support eHealth initiatives in our local areas. This partnership was created in acknowledgement of common priorities and objectives, as well as the strong referral relationships between our LHINs.

We encourage our health service providers to become familiar with the Joint eHealth Strategy when contemplating local eHealth initiatives.  (The strategy is also available in French.)
