The Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is one of 14 LHINs established by the Government of Ontario in 2006 to plan, coordinate, integrate and fund health services at the local level.
For Ontario’s health care system, this means that people are receiving the right care, at the right time, in the right place. This is being achieved through the LHINs by putting local health dollars where they are most needed, based on community and provincial priorities.

Home First
Home First is a significant shift in health care thinking. As one of the first LHINs to fully implement Home First across all of our hospitals and the Central Community Care Access Centre, the program has truly achieved some meaningful results and has had a positive impact on the lives of Ontarians. Through the Home First program, Mary was able to successfully recover from a broken femur in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family and qualified medical staff.
