H1N1 Flu Virus Information

As the second wave of H1N1 continues to wind down, Central LHIN would like to thank the local health care providers, including public health units, family physicians, hospitals, and community partners for working together to plan for strategies to supplement the existing health care system for influenza assessment and treatment services, to ensure that individuals that are sick with influenza knew where to go to receive services in their community.

As well, the LHIN continues to work with the ministry and Central LHIN hospitals to support planning for essential critical care services. One phase of this planning culminated in the development and implementation of the Central LHIN Critical Care H1N1 Surge Plan. Efforts continue to monitor and evaluate the plan with the assistance of the local providers.

Emerging information and relevant links will continue to be posted to this web page and we invite you to visit often.
